Out of everything that happens to us during life, attitude is what defines our life experience in all situations. Consciously choosing a mental attitude is a sort of pre-empting to whatever happens to us and how do we take that.
Positive mental attitude primes the mind to seek the good, while negative the bad.
And that which we focus in life grows stronger.
In fact positive attitude to life becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
When was the last time you checked your attitude towards life?
Positive Mental Attitude book by Napoleon Hill is recommended reading for anyone who is interested digging deeper in to the topic. Here are my top five picks from the book:
- Think of your friends often and never of your enemies
- Find and stick to a one reason why you can succeed in this rather than have many reasons not to succeed.
- Thought can be just as effective as action.
- Do you want to feel? Be enthusiastic. Act enthusiastic!
- If the man is right, the world is right.
Have a great evening!
Life is short, therefore we should live it joyfully and let the others be touched by the joy of living as well, so that we all may live happily. Joy is contagious.
I had the privilege to meet an enthusiast midwife, who told all kinds of stories from her profession. I admire and respect that profession, because they are at welcoming newborns into this world and working to make it as safe as possible. Often in such moments, one might whisper loving words into the ears of newborns and thus welcoming them to this world.
Each day should be celebrated with such love, hope and joy and soon as we can read this for example we can understand that although we shouldn’t focus blame or complain about other people not doing this, instead we should focus on instilling the joy of living into our lives and communicate that through our actions to others.
Joie de vivre, joy of living can be transferred into others through simple affirming smile or greeting for example. We can do this anywhere we go: work, bus or school for example. If you then add something positive and pleasant to the mix you will totally make someone’s day better.
Some of us cannot stand this positive talk, because they have a limiter in themselves that limits the amount of good feeling they allow themselves to feel. Gay Hendricks calls this the upper limit problem. We all have to work on our own upper limit problems, however by staying positive and happy you will certainly create more good to the environment than do bad.
You can become the example for joy of living in where ever you are at the moment. Enjoy the life you have now and let you be a positive voice and influence to the lives of many. Strengthen what is good and right in the world, if we do this, the life is unending chain of positive wishes even after it is all over 🙂
Be mindful of what you tell to yourself, about yourself, the day and the expectations.
Have positive expectations! By the things you say to yourself you can make each day a wonderful adventure. You would like to think that life is good and the world is conspiring to help you.
We can choose what we believe. It’s much more fun to think that the good things are going to happen today than bad things, right?
Easy to acknowledge, a bit more difficult to do, because this does take effort. However, the best time to start is now so that little by little you are able to remove the unskillful patterns and then manage the rest of the unhelpful thoughts as they come. Finally then you can fully nurture the thoughts that nurture your growth and experience of the life in total.
And your positive thinking does not only affect yourself, it increases primarily the wellbeing of those around you.
What are you waiting for? Create more positive stories about yourself, the world and the people. You will attract more opportunities this way than you will ever by complaining.
Have a wonderful evening!
Any one of us can make the decision to be happy right now. We cannot choose our emotions what we are feelings, we can choose how do we respond to the emotions. And by choosing the right responses we will inevitably feel good too in the long run. This means, happiness is in our control to decide.
By making the right choices consistently happiness is inevitable. There are even shortcuts to happiness, for example gratitude, giving and positive thinking.
Human is highly social animal, so the best we can do is to be grateful of what we have and share our happiness with others.
There is enough for everybody in this world, if we think through the lens of creating. Human creativity has created the well being that exists. Human doing is also the suffering of our planet and fellow species.
It is our next actions and decisions that determine what will follow. Therefore we can be happy with what we have now, contemplate on our virtues: what are we willing to sacrifice for our future?
We get only that well being which we are able to create for the world.
