We cannot decide our emotions, however we can decide the mood we are in. In fact mood over a long term is a choice. Life has ups and downs, we get influenced all kinds of emotional roller coasters, however we get to decide how do we respond to those emotions and happenings.
Moreover, it’s possible to build the habits so that we feel consistently great. There still are dips to a direction and other, however the general spot is not much influenced by this.
Great mood is a system where we do not rely on short term manipulations such as sugars, caffeine, nicotine or any other substances to feel alright momentarily. Great mood too requires space to recover, however it’s more consistent than the swings with the substances.
The focus is in building the capacity for energy: exercise, socializing, mindfulness.
